Pavement Management

KEI completed an Asset Management Needs Analysis resulting in an initial implementation of RSMS Pavement Management solution using RSMS. This was followed by the KEI’s implementation of a fully featured pavement management solution utilizing AgileAssets Pavement Analyst for Local Governments. As part of that implementation, KEI completed the System Development phase, which included the development of the entire management set-up including development of distress indices, repairs categories, decision trees, performance models, optimization scenarios, budget analyses, reporting features and GIS capabilities. Additionally, KEI has completed two pavement condition surveys for the entire County network.

Challenges

Challenges Overcome:

KEI was able to quickly, efficiently and accurately import all of the RSMS roadway data and setup configuration into the AgileAssets Pavement Analyst software solution allowing for a seamless transition to the new software.

• New processes: The entire management setup including decision trees, repair strategies, performance models and reporting features were new to the County.
• Reporting: KEI met the County’s specific multi-constraint optimization scenarios reporting needs required to support the CountyStat program and the capital planning budget requests.
• Neighborhood focus: KEI worked with the County to identify their specific needs including a neighborhood decision-making analysis tool and a patching program analysis tool.
